Mobtown presents CLOSER

NEW DATES!! February 18 – March 13, 2010
Closer
By Patrick Marber

There’s a thin, shaky line between love and hate… and it always seems the people we love most are the ones we hurt most often. In Closer, playwright Patrick Marber gives us a brilliant and painfully honest exploration of the brutal anatomy of modern romance. Modern day London hosts four strangers as they meet, fall in love, fall out of love and back again in this poignant, dark sketch of one or our favorite pop culture topics- The Relationship.

Thursday 2/18 at 8pm, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm, Sunday 2/28 at 3pm.  General Admission $15, Students and Seniors $12. Tickets are available at the door or through Brown Paper Tickets. We are sorry, but we cannot accept credit cards at the door.

Closer is Further Away at Mobtown, and That’s a Good Thing

“The audience will enjoy alternately wincing and laughing at the folly on display, and perhaps even (oh, horrors!) identifying with moments of it.”

– Broadway World
Love Hurts

“There’s something about the intensity of Mobtown Theatre’s production … that leaves you marveling at the psychological torments of love…. Though Closer reveals the complicated, destructive, raw, and enervating nature of relationships, it also reminds us why we seek them.”
